Saulters Family Affected By Covid-19

Donation protected
COVID-19 has impacted countless families around the world. Much like a tornado, the virus has swept away loved ones and ravaged families leaving them emotionally, mentally, and financially devastated. Justin Saulters and the Saulters family have been no exception, being dealt two major blows. Within a weeks time Justin Saulters lost both his father and brother to COVID-19. To understand the gravity and the impact this loss causes you have to know a little about these great men.

Phillip Saulters was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. He was always willing to help others and ensure that his family was doing well. This included giving nieces and nephews places to live in his apartment building and sacrificing whatever he could for his family. Phillip was in a nursing home when he contracted the virus and although he had some underlying conditions he seemed to be doing well. However, his health eventually took an unexpected turn for the worse and he passed away on Easter Sunday April 12th.

Damon Saulters had a great spirit and a smile that would light up the room. Damon was the kind of guy that would always put everyone before himself. He loved his family and he was loved by friends, family, and coworkers. On March 31st Damon had some difficulty breathing and was told to go into the hospital. He was admitted and after being seen by medical professionals, was told that everything was fine. An hour later he was told that his kidneys have failed and he was put on a ventilator. He experienced complications until he passed on April 5th.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions at both the hospital and nursing home, family was unable to visit and say final goodbyes in person. Both men died alone and their family was unable to have the celebration of life that they would want due to the restrictions. How do you abide by social distancing and choose only 10 people to honor these men in person when their lives have impacted so many?

Many people have asked how they can help the Saulters family during this time. Due to the effects of COVID-19 on the economy the Saulters family is feeling an increased financial hit, especially with two unexpected losses so close together. The funds raised from this GoFundMe will go toward final arrangements of both men, and will help to lift the financial weight that COVID-19 has already bared down on this family. These funds will also allow the family to hold a proper memorial service once restrictions are lifted so that friends, family, and coworkers can celebrate the lives of these great men. We always hear the phrase “love is an action word” so this is a time and an opportunity to show this family your love.

The Saulters family thanks you for your generosity and words of encouragement. They also ask for your continued prayers and support as they prepare to lay their loved ones to rest.

We ask that you consider sharing this GoFundMe with your friends and family to help support the Saulters family and bring awareness of the effects of COVID-19.
