This is mine and Tyler's kitten Sara, we've had her since she was only 8 weeks old, and now she's just over 6 months. Its been a wonderful experience to watch her grow and develope into such sweet and loving kitten. We cherish our time with Sara a great deal and hope to do whatever we can to make sure she lives a long and happy life with us. Last week while I was away to spend time with my family during the very rough passing of our Grandma, Sara was involved in an accident and broke her back left leg. What we thought might be a minor fracture, only needing a splint, turned out to be a very bad break in her upper thighbone (her left Distal Femur) that will require surgery to fix. The surgery will require a specialist and 3 little pins to help fuse her bone back together. A surgery like this would normally cost around $2,400 but the specialist is only going charge us $1,300 as a part of a package for Sara. This is a generous discount as I am a full-time student and Tyler works part-time and also goes to school. However, even with the discount, a surgery like this is way out of our capabilities -and this surgery needs to happen within the next week -Otherwise Sara's little leg will not heal properly and to operate after that will be a longer and much more painful procedure for her. I am already in the process of applying to various emergency pet assistance associations, but really I just need to raise this money and I need to raise it fast, so anything, and I mean ANYTHING will help us out. Any donation no matter how small helps and I am truly grateful to those who can spare any change.
Thank you for reading and please consider our little Sara!
