Sarah Butterworth (Butter)

Hi Everyone,

This is Sarah Hill and Cathy Forrestal.

Each October, for the last two decades, a group of us have met at Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park to honour our dear friend Sarah's memory. In addition to our annual walk, we leased a bench at that location in memoriam from the City of Vancouver. Our ten year lease is coming up in November and the City is requiring a payment of $8000 CDN to extend our lease for another ten years.

Sarah's bench is quite important for many reasons: it's the meeting point for our traditional walk each October; it's a spot where people can visit and remember Sarah; and it keeps all of us connected to her precious spirit and life.
