Sara's Medical Expenses

Little did I know when I took my wife Sara Lawrence-Sucato to the emergency room because of persistent abdominal pain that she would require emergency surgery and we would spend the next 5-days in the hospital.

Her needing a hemicolectomy to remove a portion of her large intestine on her right side was a shock to everyone. It came out of the blue and she had no history of any issues with her digestive tract. 

We are both immensely grateful for the well wishes of family, friends and acquaintances
in the wake of Sara's surgery and she is recovering quicker than most who have had such a surgery.

As everyone can surmise,  emergency surgery and spending 5-days in the hospital comes with a cost. And while we have basic health insurance, we really need help in covering the difference.

Many have asked what can we do and how can we help when finding out about Sara's surgery. The answer is a charitable donation of any amount to help us offset Sara's medical bills. 

It's never been easy for either of us to ask for help, we are more likely to be the ones contributing money to others gofundme campaigns, but this time we could really use it.
