Santa's Winter Wonderland Surprise

Last year marked the first annual Winter Wonderland Fundraiser for CNCA's 5th graders.  The event served as a mini-carnival where scholars were able to enjoy a pancake breakfast with their families, play games, take pictures with Santa, listen to live music and have a great community building experience.  It was an event the scholars reminised about all year.  

The funds raised allowed us to take our kiddos to NASA's jet propulsion lab, the Huntington Library, the Walt Disney Concert Hall to see LA Philharmonic and the crowd favorite, Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks.  We were also able to fund an end of the year celebration and purchase necessary classroom materials. 



This year we hoped to add a special element to the Winter Wonderland Fundraiser that wasn't there before.  Inspired by West Jet's generosity last year, we wanted Santa to be able to surprise each of our 60 scholars with an unexpected gift. The 5th graders will be making a wishlist using Toys R Us's online catalog within a $25 budget (as a Math lesson to practice adding decimals ;) and we want Santa to be able to deliver these gifts to the kiddos when their families come to celebrate at Winter Wonderland.  We hope that you will be able to help us by adopting a scholar or 2 for $25 each.  We've overshot the budget a little to account for fees and taxes.  Many of our scholars recieve few gifts around the holidays if any at all so this contribution will make more of a difference than you can fathom.  Any excess will go into our fieldtrip fund.  Thank you for your time and consideration!
