On Thursday evening Sandy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She had been having issues with swollen lymph nodes, that ended up needing to be removed. As her test results started coming back after surgery she was advised to go to the emergency room where she received her diagnoses.

At this time they are still gathering information that will help guide Sandy to the best treatment plan. We are still waiting for a bone marrow test and results from the spinal tap conducted today.  Her medical team is hoping to start chemo this week, then she will take a few weeks off to recover. Her current goal is to be out of the hospital to make it to her daughter, Kat's, wedding at the end of October.

Sandy has a long road ahead of her that will require a lot of expensive treatment. We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden on her and her family so they can put all of their energy in to fighting! Thank you for all of your positive thoughts and prayers.
