Sandra LeAnn “Imuk” DeWilde unexpectedly passed away at her home on June 28th 2018, in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was born on May 31st, 1990 in Nome, by parents Isaac Okleasik Jr. and Barbara Menadelook, and was raised in Teller with her siblings Tommy Okleasik, Jolene Okleasik, Lillian Olanna, and Isaac Okleasik III.
Sandra met Shawn DeWilde at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the two married on August 6th 2011; making their home in Fairbanks. She leaves behind her daughter Saphira Emily and son Gabriel Franklin, ages five and four.
Family was always Sandra's top priority, and she is remembered as a kind and gentle woman be all who knew her. Sandra’s passion and compassion was well known among her family, friends, and anyone who was blessed to witness her love for life. It only took seeing the kind smile she had every time she looked at her children to understand the depth of her soul.
Due to her unexpected passing, this fund will cover funeral expenses, and childcare expenses for her two children over the next six months. Thank you for taking the time to celebrate Sandra, and for your support during this very difficult period. This fund is hosted by Sandra’s sister-in-law Rachel DeWilde. The funeral is tentatively schuduled for Friday July 6th in Fairbanks. A final schedule will be announced by the family when more information is known.
