Washer and dryer about 5 months old.

Life's salvaged belongings now accessible out of tote bins.

Where to even start?

Family came to help. Bless them.

Strangers came to help. Who are these people? Thank God for sending them.
It's really cold outside. Way colder than up the hill at Rosemary and Dolores' house they said.
Joshua held down the fort many cold nights to keep the looters away. He did have to deal with some.
Great life-long family friends helping. And me freezing and can't pick up anything or bend due to OA disability.
7-year loan - 6 years of it paid.
Plants and trash bins were following the current.
6 cats & 1 dog also lost their home. They have a lot of anxiety now, still.

Mold. Throw it out! Throw it out! Gotta keep moving. Time is not a friend in this case.
Kids adapt, right? Trauma lasts. This family has gone through so much in the last 22 1/2 years. Trauma lasts. Thanks to everyone who is helping, praying, & sharing, they will get past this chapter. Thank you. Hello. My name is Julie Hughes. I am hoping this GoFundMe account will help my closest friend and her large multigenerational family. The two youngest are in early elementary grades. The family are victims of a rare flash flood for our area in San Diego. They have struggled together for many years since Sandra lost her husband. She's had the sole responsibility of providing a safe and secure home for her children and now three grandchildren who all live with her. Life has been difficult and after this wildly extreme event, getting over the initial shock of almost swimming through the house to save her frightened teenage granddaughter as well as the family pets (several cats, dog, turtles) she has to start over again to find a new rental home. Her furniture and housewares are in the trash pile waiting for city workers to pick them up. The car is declared totaled by her insurance company. Sandra's daughter uses that car for work to transport and deliver medical related items. Then, there's the landlords! Lots of stories in this part of town about landlords intimidating tents in this time of chaos and misery. These are those kind of homeowners. The selfless volunteers are also doing their part as well as city workers. Many times during this week. Please, if you can find it in your heart to help this family, it would truly be a blessing.
