My name is Samuel M. Washington, II, (aka Sammy) and I am a student at Haverford College in my sophomore year. My major is Asian Studies with a focus on Japanese. I’m so happy to share my exciting journey with you! I’ve been accepted into the Japanese language program at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan for the academic year! This experience will not only deepen my understanding of the language but also allow me to explore the rich culture, history, and traditions firsthand.

However, as you can imagine, studying abroad comes with financial challenges. The cost of travel, and living expenses adds up quickly. That’s where your support can make a significant difference. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to achieving my dream.

Where will your donation go?

1. Travel Costs: Flights to Japan are expensive, and I need to secure a round-trip ticket.
