All my life, all I've ever wanted to become was an engineer.  About a month ago, I received a letter in the mail from NYLF, a prestigious STEM internship company. I was nominated to enter their summer program this year. Now to get into this program, it starts with the school system. The science department has to get together and decide the students who deserve to go. To get nominated, the entire science department has to have a unanimous vote. In my school system, that's around 30 teachers. I got a unanimous vote from 30 teachers to be nominated to go to such an amazing program. I'm one of two students from Natick to get to go, the other being my friend Trevor. 
Everything is great and I'm all set to go except for one problem. I don't have the funds to carry me there. As much as I want to go, I can't unless I manage to pull together $3,000. If I can even get just a fraction of this goal, I'll be able to work towards my goal of becoming an engineer.
The main reason I'm asking for help affording tuition is because my family simply cannot afford it. We don't have a lot of spare money laying around because we are a four-person family with many things that are needed in everyday life. Honestly, I wish I wouldn't have to say that my family can't afford to send me, but it's the reality. 
This will become such a great thing to be part of and to put on my resume and college application. I will truly appreciate every single dollar that comes in.
