Choral Tour in France!

Hello! My name is Samantha Douglas and I am campaigning to raise funds for a Choral Trip to France. This 9 day trip features amazing ventures that include opportunities that some people can only dream about and in the time that I have been dreaming of a trip to France, to possibly even do a semester aboard is now at my finger tips and I am hoping with the help of my family and friends, I will be able to make my dreams a reality.
This isn’t a trip I can save and plan for as a vacation, this is an opportunity to see France while participating in several Choral Performances that so many involved in Choir would love to be a part of and I hope that with your help I can be a part of it, too!
During the nine day tour, we will journey through Bayeux, Loire Valley and Paris! For those of you that know me well, know how I’ve dreamed of visiting Paris for quite some time now. I am currently working on my third year of French, as frustrating as it can sometimes be, I really want to experience this opportunity and have been preparing for years now because it’s something I am very passionate about and to be able to visit while singing in Paris’ most famous locations couldn’t be more incredible.
We will have the opportunity to sing in the Rouen Cathedral, at the American Cemetery with the Caen Music Conservatory Choir, possibly the St. Gilles Abbey in Caen or Bayeux Cathedral, and the Monk’s Refectory, at the St. Saturnin Church, we will also perform during Saturday mass at the famous Norte Dame Cathedral, with other impromptu singing opportunities, and our final choral performance in Paris at Eglise de la Madeleine.
We will be touring through some of France’s most famous places, such as, Chambord Castle, Arc de Triomphe, the Pace de la Concorde, Champs-Elusees, dinner in the Eiffel Tower, Louis XIV’s palace at Versailles, Hall of Mirrors, Kings Apartments, Giverny, Artists haunt of Montmartre, with an additional opportunity for a private guided tour through the Louvre Museum with our Art Instructor, this will give us the ability to see famous works of art like Venus de Mile and the Mona Lisa, which I hear is no bigger than a piece of paper, and our Choral Tour will end with a farewell dinner in the Latin Quarter and evening cruise on the River Seine!
Please, if you can, help bring my dreams to fruition so I can sing my way through Paris, a city that I have dreamt many times to one day live.
Understanding the costs: The trip will include round-trip airfare, 3-star hotel accommodations, 7 group dinners, one crepe lunch (Yum!), all choral performance costs, all sightseeing entrance costs for the listed venues, tour manager for the entire trip, private motor coach (which is essential for a large group to travel safely together), gratuities for tour manager and bus driver, liability coverage for the group, direct billing costs.
Not included in the tour package: Meals aside from the ones listed above, spending cash for necessities, and personal travel insurance.
