Hi Everyone, 

I am Alissa Diamond, a Charlottesville Friend and former colleague of Sam's.  I started this gofundme to help channel the energies of those who want to chip in for Sam's recovery.   Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.  Sam and her family are so appreciative of your efforts and the love you are sending from near and far. I have authorized her mother Susan as the beneficiary to be able to use the money for any expenses incurred by Sam in this situation- medical bills and care, care that insurance won't cover, utility bills for her home, lost wages, and any other costs she needs covered in what will certainly be a long recovery.
