10 Years Without a Vet Ends Now

For nearly 10 years, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands has lived without consistent access to a veterinarian.

And when there’s no vet, it affects everything.
There’s nowhere to go when your pet is sick.
No help in emergencies.
No real way to control the stray population.
Animals suffer everywhere you look.

I know this personally. My heart dog, Tasi, got very sick—and there was no veterinarian to bring her to. No options. No answers. Watching her die without proper care gave me such a horrible helpless feeling. It’s something I will never forget, and it’s part of why I couldn’t walk away from this problem.

So, in 2023, we started a small nonprofit clinic on the main island of Saipan. Our original focus was stray population management—but it quickly became clear that the need was so much bigger. I wasn't the only one who loved my pet. There were many others in need.

Against all odds, our little clinic grew. We started as two volunteers working around the clock out of a tiny room at the municipal shelter.. and we transformed into a real clinic with real staff and our own facility. In 2025 alone, we saw over 6,000 patients. Every single one of them was treated through a patchwork of virtual veterinary support, protocols developed by vets, and visiting volunteer veterinarians.

It’s the best we’ve been able to do without having a vet on island.

And then, something incredible happened.

We received a donation of $15,000 in honor of a very special dog—with one clear purpose: to bring a veterinarian to Saipan for an extended period of time.

The donor asked one thing of us: to try our very best to raise a $15,000 match so we can make this opportunity last as long as possible and help as many animals as we can.

So that’s what we’re doing.

If we meet this match, we don’t just bring a vet here.
We double the time they can serve our community.
We double the number of animals treated.
We double the relief, the dignity, and the care.

Want to be part of this incredible journey? Donate if you can, and be sure to follow along. We are currently in the process of recruiting a vet and hope to get this project off the ground asap.

Thank you all for being here!
