Dear friends,
Since the takeover of Kabul on August 15, Afghanistan has been experiencing an unprecedented crisis. According to David Beasley, Director of the United Nations World Food Programme , the country is currently facing "the worst humanitarian crisis on earth". Drought on an unprecedented scale, an abandoned health system, inaccessibility of NGOs on the ground… the situation will worsen with the winter with temperatures dropping below 0°C. According to the International Crisis Group, famine is capable of "killing more people than the fighting that has taken place since 2001" (Financial Times ).
"In Afghanistan, people sell their children to avoid starving" Wazma, interviewed by Ghazal Golshiri for Le Monde .

I am based in Paris and of Afghan origin, I have built up a relationship of trust with Afghans I met while on mission for the UN in the region. I organized with them to pass on the funds needed to buy livelihoods for the winter: mainly food and warm clothes. The international institutions have heavy structures with long implementation processes that make it difficult to act quickly with the populations in need, hence the need to intervene with a direct and trusted intermediary.
I appeal to your solidarity and your altruism. You too can support the Afghan people by making a donation to this fund . There is no such thing as small donation, any help is welcome. You can also pass on this message to your friends and family. Being informed and sharing is also acting.
- 30€ can provide 2 to 3 months of essential food for one person
- 190€ can feed a whole family (7 people) for 2 to 3 months of winter with basic food
