THE STORY
The restless spirit of a drowned girl encounters a young man who frequents her burial site. Through him, she falls for the life she lost and finds struggle when her love teeters between devotion and obsession.

Nearly a century after her death, she encounters a fascinating young man with whom she becomes deeply infatuated: Hayden, whose recent loss of his mother brings him to the grave.

With a connection to the otherworldly and therefore the remarkable ability to visibly perceive Rue, Hayden stands out among the living. As Hayden reminds Rue what it was like to be alive, complete with Rue’s introduction to the compelling modern world, she finds it hard to imagine ever leaving his side.

THE CREATORS
Sydney Geiger & Wren Watson are two current students at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) who met in their freshman year. They have since been inseparable, with a shared love of storytelling, adventure, and general tomfoolery. The concept for "Soil" came on an unexpected day, at an unexpected time, on a day when they thought inspiration had run dry. Now, a year later after the concept was first unearthed, the pair are determined to tell their story.
