This effort is to raise money for the SKY Breath and Meditation training program so that trainees can bring these powerful techniques for our students and teachers at our school. In these hard times, I firmly believe SKY breathing and meditation can be powerful tool to make our school a stress free and violence free campus. These techniques are unique and effective tools - just a few minutes each day recharges energy, calms the mind, and dissolves stress so that we can all reach our full potentials. Sky Breath Meditation is a series of breathing practices that Stanford/ Yale research and others have now shown to decrease stress, anxiety, and depression. It improves well-being, positive emotions, mindfulness, and social connection.
Recently, researchers at Yale University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) have independently published research findings stating the efficacy of Sudarshan Kriya Yoga (SKY) technique as a stress management tool.
