Our award winning Surrattsville High School (SHS) “Marching Hornets" in Clinton, Maryland (Prince Georges' County School District) is raising funds for new marching band uniforms.
The typical lifespan for uniforms is 7-9 years and our current uniforms have been in use for over 15 years. These uniforms are extremely worn, uncomfortable, and in many cases have been altered to the point of having little or no material left to alter. Even in these tired, old, worn uniforms the members of the SHS Marching Hornets are a proud group of talented students who are very dedicated to their music, are extremely hard working, and are committed to fielding a high quality marching band show.
Unfortunately, the school system is unable to provide adequate funding to purchase new uniforms for these talented students; therefore, it is the responsibility of the SHS Marching Hornets Parent Club to raise funds to fulfill this need. These uniforms will be proudly worn for the next 7 years for all football games, marching band competitions, parades, and other activities. The parents ask that you please help us provide these much needed uniforms for the current and future members of this wonderful music education program by donating today.
