Honor our Heroes: Help Fund the Special Forces Monument

Special Forces Association Chapter 88, as a 501(c)(19) non-profit organization, has an ambitious goal to raise $18,000 for the construction, installation and maintenance of a monument, and fund a dedication ceremony for a Special Forces Memorial monument to be donated to and placed in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Our goal is Dec. 31, 2025 to raise the money before the end of this year. It will allow us time to complete a contract, finance the down payment, construct the monument, deliver and install it, pay the balance, and fund the unveiling ceremony on Saturday, April 11, 2026 in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. The monument project is very important for honoring the service of the Army veterans interred in the cemetery and as a remembrance for the families, loved ones, friends, comrades in arms and visitors to this National Cemetery. The dedication is in conjunction with the celebration of the 39th Anniversary of establishing Special Forces as a combat arms branch of the United States Army. We need your support to reach our goal on time and finish this important and lasting memorial. Thank you for your consideration and donation.
The April 11, 2026 dedication is a public ceremony and we invite our Special Operations veterans to come and join us for this significant and historical event. More information will be forthcoming in 2026.

Chapter member Padraic E. "Pat" Mulvihill is the project officer and Monument Committee chairman. Chapter member James Bullinger is a co-organizer on the GoFundMe project.
SFA Chapter 88 engages across the four counties of Nassau, Duvall, Clay and Saint Johns in the greater Jacksonville area. We serve veterans, their families, fellow veteran organizations and communities through charity donations, and supports 26 area high school JROTC programs.
