THE STAGE COLLEGE DIY SCENE NEEDS YOUR HELP
Donation protected
Hello. The State College DIY scene has been active for 30+ years. Houses and equipment have been passed down countless times, being replaced as time has gone by. Last semester, we went from having 5 working PA's to only 2 (as of 6/12/25), which is the biggest hit financially we've had in years.
For the first time, we need your help.
Venue owners cannot afford the cost of replacing their sound equipment. In particular, the 8ball has had 1000$ worth of equipment broken, not including damage to the house. Every other venue has not had their equipment for the past 4 months, using 2 P.A.s to run 4 different event spaces, moving them from place to place.
It is invaluable to have a place where people can share their art- with bands coming from all over the East Coast, and locally. 100's of bands have cut their teeth in our scene, making lasting connections, and a community space that has kept live music affordable, and accessible for audiences and artists alike.
If you love music, if you've been to a show, if you love punk art- please consider donating- it means more than you know.
If you have any fun stories about the scene, please fill out this Google Form linked here: SC DIY Story submission for 7/13/25 fundraising.
