Steve Blackman Benefit
Donation protected
Steve is a 30-year-old father and husband. He has been a dedicated Highway Patrol Deputy for the Broome County Sheriffs Office since 2007.
In January 2015, Steve became ill. Steve continued to come to work each day despite his illness, to provide for his family and to keep his community and coworkers safe.
After a long and difficult series of tests, Steve was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Steve will be undergoing intense treatments to fight this disease and he has recently started chemotherapy. These treatments require Steve to travel a great distance, adding to the physical and financial strain that Steve and his family are facing.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office and Steve’s friends and family are working to set up a benefit to help offset some of these expenses.
All donations are helpful and greatly appreciated.
