On July 12, 2017, our little Ryder was involved in an accident with a truck. His dad rushed him to the ER, only to have him Life Flighted to Primary Childrens immediately. In the expert hands of the team there, he was quickly stabilized and is doing surprisingly well. Thankfully, his head and chest were missed by the truck, which no doubt saved his life. However, both hips and one of his femurs suffered severe fractures. He just underwent major surgery to piece his femur  back together. His hips and vertebrae will heal on their own over time and with lots of rehab. He's got a very long road ahead of him, and the family will face a great deal of medical expenses along the way.
