Ruth Santiago lived life to the fullest, always making those around her feel special. A proud Queens native, she formed lasting connections everywhere—from her school years at Old St. Patrick’s and Cathedral High School to her 15-year career with American Airlines. Known for her witty, joyous nature and her love of sports and pro wrestling, she was the go-to friend for advice, a helping hand, and heartfelt encouragement.

Her greatest devotion was to her family. She ensured that our mother, Loida, was comfortable and that her brother, Carlo, always had what he needed.

As the family’s main provider, she supported us after we lost everything in an apartment fire that devastated our Sunnyside neighborhood. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void. In lieu of flowers and other memorial gifts, we ask for your support in easing the financial burdens of moving forward without her. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.
