27 Days, 285km: Running for Sandelford School.

I’m Running 285km in 27 Days, to complete 1000km in 2024 for Sandelford School.

I am taking on this challenge to support and fundraise for Sandelford School which plays such an important role in our community. Not only does it support someone close to me, but it also helps so many other children and families by providing an instrumental service in their development. It’s not just a school it’s a place where children with additional needs can thrive in a safe, supportive environment tailored to them.

Sandelford helps families across the area by providing essential services, including door-to-door transport for the children. Their school buses ensure kids arrive safely, ready to learn and grow. These buses are absolutely vital, and while the school recently acquired new ones, ongoing upkeep is crucial to keeping this service running smoothly.

This fundraiser will also contribute to two other projects: an upgrade in playground facilities and sensory equipment that will continue to support the development of the children. These initiatives don’t just enhance education they bring joy, build confidence, and create opportunities for growth.

Any donation, big or small, will go directly to the school and will hopefully make a small difference for the children and families who rely on Sandelford’s vital services. This school is a cornerstone for the community, providing support, care, and opportunities that transform these kids and their parent's lives.

I will be doing a long run on NYE, to mark the end of the challenge and complete 1000km for the year. Hopefully some of you can join me for the run or part of it! I will post an update of details closer to the time!!
