Rudy Zepeda was an integral member of the Aria Montessori School community as the grounds caretaker for over 26 years and a contributing member of the human race for 43 years.
Whether you were a family member, a friend, a coworker, a parent, child or a casual acquaintance you had to be impressed by his kindness and contagious smile. If you ever got to talk to him you could just feel his amazing energy and you knew there was something so special about him.
Rudy has suffered from Kidney disease since he was 19 years and endured 11 years of dialysis and was so grateful to receive a kidney transplant in 2002.
For the past two years he has valiantly battled cancer. It was such a blessing for it to go into remission for awhile, only to return this fall. Until his last day, April 3, Rudy remained his sweet and kind self.
The date of the memorial will be in the next few weeks. We will announce it here when a date is set. Then his entire family will come together in Rosarito, Mexico, his family home, to lay his ashes next to Father.
Some of us friends wanted to start this Go Fund Me campaign to help his family with his memorial and funeral arrangements. Anyone who has lost a family member knows how staggering these final expenses can be. Any donation, no matter how small will help.
Please share this post on your Facebook page or on any other social media and email and pass it along.
All of the donations we gather will be given directly to Rudy's family to help celebrate this beautiful and bright man.
