A couple of days ago my friend/co-worker’s home suffered severe smoke damage due to an unfortunate accident. Her family is going to have to be living in hotels for at least the next 2 months. Her kids’ school is three cities away from the only available hotel in the area. Luckily the hotel has a kitchenette and they can still have family meals there. Being a displaced family of 5 and losing everything, there is no amount of insurance that will cover everything. The restoration people are trying to salvage every article of clothing they have but it is highly unlikely that can be done. We are trying to raise a little funds to get them through the next couple of months, at least a week of clothes for each and food/immediate necessities. Any donation will be greatly appreciated!
