Hello,

We are asking for donations to help the Singleterry children pay for their father’s hospital bills. The rock of the family Ron has been diagnosed with late stage esophageal cancer. Ron’s wife , Sharnelle, passed away suddenly 6 years ago. This leaves his children in charge of his care & helping to take care of the bills at home & at the hospital. Here is what his oldest daughter Carolyn had to say when she broke the news:

“I’ve been trying to come up with the right words to say for days now. Even now, we still aren’t entirely sure what we are dealing with since nothing has been confirmed.

We could use all thoughts and prayers we can get for this journey my Dad will be on with his health.

Just a brief run down on this journey ahead:

We are dealing with a mass in his esophagus that may have metastasized to surrounding organs. Waiting on biopsy to confirm this and to come to terms with what Stage of cancer we are dealing with. He will be receiving enteral nutrition so he can build up his strength since he has been depleted of nutrients for the past month at least and to control his severe weight loss. Once he has gained some strength we are Most likely down the road of Chemotherapy before surgery to remove the mass.

It’s a scary diagnosis to hear he has advanced esophageal cancer. There is one thing I know of my dad, is that he is so strong. He is the rock for our family especially after losing our Mom. At any moment in our lives he is always there for us in a heartbeat, and now is our time to take care of him to see him through this.

Words of encouragement, support, and prayers are needed for him at this time.

We love you dad!! I hated to see you spend your birthday today in the Hospital, but we got his favorite pie (lemon meringue) in paper form for encouragement for when he can finally eat again! Sorry your birthday wasn’t ideal but when you fight through this we will have the biggest celebration! ❤️

100% of the funds raised here will go to Ron’s girls to help with his hospital bills. The girl’s have handled this with grace, strength, & smiles. The oldest of the girls, Carolyn & Gabby have been picking up shifts & hustling 12+ hours on weekends to try to help with the rising cost of Ron’s hospital bills. On top of trying to be with Ron during his doctors appointments & hospital stays, so he doesn’t have to face this fight alone.
