Rome-ward Bound! Elle @ VIVO Ballet
Donation protected
Well Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Elle (Ella) and I kinda need some help. I'm a dancer here in Houston TX, I've been dancing since I was three-years-old. I have an AA in Dance and when I'm not teaching dance at the amazing Axis dance studio or rehearsing with their non-profit dance company Fuzion Contemporary Dance Company I'm busy slinging espresso at a local coffee store to help with the bills.

But recently I was accepted into this really amazing apprenticeship program with VIVO Ballet...in Rome!! It's a six month long program that includes 20+ hours of dance a week, learning to speak Italian (this is an actual class with the Italian participants learning English simultaneously. Communication is a beautiful thing y'all!) plus learning repertoire alongside the company all while being in the oldest city in the world!!

The problem I'm having is with funding this highly educational experience. The program itself costs €4400 (that's almost $5000!!!) But that only covers the dance classes, language course and housing (which, honestly is a lot) but it doesn't cover transportation to or around the city or any food. And because of the kind of visa I'll be getting I'm not sure I'll be legally able to get a real job while I'm there. I did the math and between the transportation and what the average Roman spends on food each week I learned it's gonna cost about an extra $4000 (hints the $9000)

I've started saving every spare penny and all I'm asking for Christmas this year is this trip but I'm still not sure it'll be enough. That's where you come in dear reader. Anything and everything you can give will help and be greatly appreciated. So please gave warmly share this with anyone you know that you think could help. Thank you so much!!
XOXOXO, Elle <3
