Royce Cowan ALS Care Expenses
Donation protected
Royce Cowan was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) at the young age of 27, just three short months after getting married to his beautiful wife. He has gone on to face this illness with courage and braveness, while showing others how to stay strong and live a full life.
In the five years since receiving this diagnosis, Royce has been able to hike many trails in the Great Smoky Mountains and has gone on through the help of the Steve Gleason organization to continue to bike with his family. He and his wife expanded their family through the addition of a super fun and energetic little girl. As his physical abilities continue to change from the impact of ALS, Royce is now using a wheelchair for all of his daily movement.
This young family has been so strong and brave and now need our help to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle that can easily transport both Royce and their super active daughter.

Here is an excerpt of Royce’s first blog entry after just a few months after receiving his diagnosis: “Whatever life throws at you, take action as soon as you can. I now see this disease as a challenge. I feel as if I have a new purpose in life and I plan on giving it my all in order to fulfill that purpose: to help others heal their spirit, heal their health, heal their earth and heal others.”
Now it is our turn to help Royce. Thank you so much for your help and assistance, and as Royce would say, “Be strong and find a way to carry on.”
