My dad is the most stubborn person I have ever met. He likes to do everything himself and work hard. It's funny because if I would have showed him this post he would be very discontent. My dad has done everything to provide for our family and has carried all the weight on his back. He works hard, sometimes 12-14 hour days 6 days a week when he can, not because he has to, because he wants to work hard. Even on his nights off he still works as a reserve police office for Hayward. That was one of his biggest hobbies and loved doing that so much.

Early January my dad suffered from a Heart attack. Just to show you how stubborn he is, he even drove himself to the hospital from his vacation while having the chest pains.  After a week in the hospital recovering from a blockage to his heart he was released on the next thursday and only 2 hours later he collapsed in his chair. Due to his recovering from a blockage (Original heart attack) the other side of heart was working twice as fast causing him to have an arrhythmia. My mom and neighbor were performing CPR until the ambulance came and we lost him for a bit, but he was ultimately able to be revived and rushed to the hospital. He was not able to take any visitors and they were able to stabilize him so we went home. At around 4:30am on Friday, the next morning, we received a call from the doctor that he wasn't looking good and we should come down. We rushed to the hospital sitting in the waiting room thinking this was the end. After a long fight and losing him two more times they were able to stabilize him around 8:00am. After fighting death itself my dad made a very slow recovery physically and wasn't even able to be woken up for about 5 days. Once his eyes started to open they were not tracking anything and were just moving, looking into space. Slowly, he was able to start focusing on people but still not able to do anything else. Slowly the medication was being weaned out and he was moving his arms, not with any real purpose yet. He was transferred to another hospital so that they could scan his brain with an MRI. It was determined that he has a lot of brain damage. Once they were able to take his breathing equipment we were hopeful he would just talk, but he didn't speak at all. We are currently been a month and a half and at the point where he would say a word every few hours but usually only when he is upset. He only recently in the last few days has become emotional, crying when we have to leave and take care of things at home making it near impossible to leave, and he still has not listened to a command so he can't be transferred to a rehab facility, we are in limbo. The hospital is saying he needs to be transferred and he will be too much for my mom to take care of at home, but he also can't go to a rehab facility.

Due to the fact that we don't know where he needs to go or how his recovery will be I am starting this campaign for our family. Because he makes more than $2300 a month we do not qualify for medical, so if he was transferred to a long term care facility we would have to sell just about everything to survive and keep him taken care of. If we bring him home then we need serious changes to Accommodate him as we have a 2 story home and the master bedroom is upstairs.

Your donations would be used to make sure we can take care of our Dad no matter what decision we are forced to make. The doctors are trying to transfer him very soon so any donations made sooner will be that much more helpful.

Once I can take more pictures I will upload them and also upload videos of my dad's progress. We have some videos now but we need to edit them to make them accessible to the public. Any donations, no matter how big or small are very much appreciated. My parents do not like asking for help so this is why I wanted to start this. This is for them, our family, and hopefully my Dad's recovery back to normal.

Thank you for your consideration,
