I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help, but life has a way of humbling us. This past year has been the hardest fight of my life, a roller coaster of pain, fear, and exhaustion emotionally, physically, and financially.
Not long ago, I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. Within a week of hearing those words, I was on an operating table. The doctors had to remove my entire rectum and sew me shut. Everything changed overnight.
I drained nearly all my savings trying to stay afloat, including selling some of my most meaningful belongings just to keep up with bills. Between weeks of hospital visits, hotel stays, parking, and gas back and forth to Boston, it all added up fast. What little I had disappeared before I even realized it.
I live on a fixed income, and there’s only so much I can do to catch up. Every bit of help I receive will go directly toward paying down the debts I’ve piled up through this battle and helping me start over to finally stand back on my own two feet after cancer took so much from me. I now have to go through chemotherapy as cancer is still detected in my system. :/
any bit helps and if you can’t donate please share my story <3 thank you
