This campaign is for one of the best guys I have ever met.....loyal almost to a fault, huge heart, and a 'true' friend. We all know what that means.
This is his story: (well, from my point of view)
A medical anomaly & mystery...??
Name: Rob P.
Age: 35
Diagnosis: Stage IV Colon Cancer

Where to begin.....
Rob is a 35 yr old father of 2 awesome kids; Isabella, Age 5 & Connor, Age 3, his greatest accomplishments. A husband to the best wife: Gracie, anyone could ever wish for..beautiful (inside & out), strong, and the rock of the family.

He is a U.S. Army Veteran, former Federal Police Officer, and Culinary Arts Student. Essentially, he's a very well-rounded individual, from both a mental & physical perspective... afterall, he's 6'4" and once weighed 260+ lbs. Though his recent chemo diet has brought his weight down quite considerably.
Less than 2 months ago, Rob checked into the ER for what he & his wife thought was food poisoning. He was treated & eventually released. About 1 1/2 weeks later, the same pain/feeling flared up again. They went back to the ER expecting to be treated for food poisoning again.
Then the bomb dropped....Rob was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer.
Even the doctors were perplexed; his case is incredibly rare, especially considering his young age, lack of family history, and symptoms. Rob had shown ZERO symptoms and displayed no obvious signs prior to the first ER visit. I should know, I worked side-by-side with Rob for over 1 year and went throught the most miserable company training imaginable, but that's another story. I'm almost certain his case will be studied at Johns Hopkins at some point in the near future.
To say this was a shock to me & his family would be an understatement. The overall feeling can not be described in words.
1 week later, Rob had his first surgery and then shortly after that he had a second surgery to implant a chemo port. The very weekend before his chemo treatment was set to begin, Rob was admitted to the hospital, yet again, for a blood clot. That same week, he had a P.E.T. scan and the results were even more devastating.......the cancerous lymph nodes have now spread to different areas/regions.
Diagnosis: Stage IV Colon Cancer

Rob doesn't live a risky, crazy life. Shoot, he barely even drinks & for a guy his size...he doesn't like beer. You can only imagine how much fun we have picking on him about this. He doesn't smoke or do drugs. He's a loving father/husband, has a big heart, generous, and always has a positive outlook. "A glass half-full kinda guy"
I want him to beat this and not let it dictate what he & his family can or cannot do.
Rob works as a 100% commission sales representative for a home improvement company in Northern VA.
If he's not working, he's not making money. The medical bills are piling up faster & faster with each passing week.
Please find it in your heart to help Rob & his family out.
I appreciate that you have taken the time to read Rob's story.
I'm asking anyone & everyone to please step up and help Rob & his family. No other family deserves it more and believe me, your donation will be well-received.
Not only are you helping Rob, but you would help the long-term stability of his wife and his two amazing kids.
Please help my friend.
Thank you!
We need to get Rob's message out there.....
Please help by forwarding this message/link to your friends & family.
Every little bit counts.
Warmest Regards,
