Making this for myself is one of the hardest things I've had to do buy I have run out of options. I have made many of these over the years for the rescue animals I have saved but never thought I would have to do this for myself. As many of you know I was in a car accident February 2024 which resulted in a traumatic brain injury, bulging discs, discs pinching nerve and soft tissue damage. It was a head on collision caused by a 16 yr old with no license who was speeding, lost control and came onto the wrong side of the road. I had to take months off of work and have not been able to work consistently since the accident so I've been barely keeping my head above water. it has taken everything in me to work the little that I have and such through the unbearable pain I have been in almost evert day. Well recently my health has since taken another down. I got a cortisone injection a few weeks ago as a final resort after a year of treatment in hopes for some pain relief. I did have few days of relief but things got worse quickly. I became very ill, I was weak, my head was pounding, my heart was pounding and I could barely move. I went to the ER where they ran tests for hours and told me my adrenal glands weren't working, I was in adrenal crisis. They said they have never seen anyone before where their adrenal glads shut down from only one injection. They gave me medication and an "urgent" referral to Endocrinology. I spoke with my regular DR and got a 2nd opinion as I do not like taking medications if I don't have to and was informed, if I do not take it, I will die... Well I've been taking the medication for 2 weeks now and I am still extremely weak, tired and the brain fog makes it hard to even do the most simple tasks. I feel very sedated and lethargic about 75% of the day. As you can imagine after a year of barely working for a year has been a significant financial loss, which was not reimbursed from the car accident, so many medical bills, and the animal expenses I am in over my head. I am looking into going to a specialist who treats brain injuries. Someone I know went to them and it really helped. Sadly they do not take payments and the cost is $5,000 up front which as of now I can't afford. I have a long road to recovery and I hate to say this but I really need help getting there. I have done a year of Chiropractic, months physical therapy, massage therapy, Acupuncture, yoga, supplements, therapy, neurology and seen a Naturopath.
