Hey everyone, I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of the Rivera Valencia Family to help pay for their dad's medical expenses.
For anyone who is not aware of the situation, here is a small backstory.
In 2010, Luis was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease which had him in and out of the hospital for the next 3 years. The recovery process alone took a little over 5 years and to this day he is still paying off those medical debts.
In early April of this year Luis was hospitalized for a rare skin defect that started as a small wound on the bottom of his right foot. After 3 surgeries and many different opinions from Doctors, he was finally diagnosed with Scleroderma Syndrome. The cause of Scleroderma Syndrome remains unknown and there is no cure.
Scleroderma means hard skin. It is a group of diseases that cause abnormal growth of connective tissue. Connective tissue is the material inside your body that gives your tissues their shape and helps keep them strong. In scleroderma, the tissue gets hard or thick. It can cause swelling or pain in your muscles and joints.

This unexpected event took a huge toll on the Rivera Valencia family emotionally and financially. So the Rivera Valencia Family have asked to put together a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to help financially. We thank you for your time and prayers .
The Rivera family are blessed to have Luis back at home but the recovery time is unknown therefore any size of donation will be of much help during this time.
