Our community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Micheal Eugene Repp, age 51, who passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2025, with his husband Riley by his side.
Their Journey
In August 2024, Riley survived a sudden cardiac arrest and has been on a long road of recovery. Earlier this year, Micheal was diagnosed with stage III squamous cell carcinoma. Together, they faced these battles with courage, resilience, and love.
The Loss
Micheal’s passing has left Riley navigating profound grief while still working through his own recovery. As Micheal’s family of choice and his community, it is our turn to hold Riley up the way he and Micheal have always done for us.
How Funds Will Be Used
Donations will now go toward:
- Covering funeral and memorial expenses.
- Ensuring Riley can stay secure in his home while adjusting to life without Micheal.
- Providing day-to-day support while Riley continues healing.
Why It Matters
Micheal never knew a stranger. He was family to those who had none, and his dedication to the LGBTQ+ community of Salt Lake City was bottomless. With Riley, he created spaces of joy, love, and belonging, including Club Verse and beyond.
