Hi, my name is Sara Brodsky. As many of you know by now, my dad, Rick Brodsky, passed away unexpectedly and was welcomed into the Lord’s loving arms at 7:07AM on Thursday January 6th, 2022. I have received an abundance of calls, texts, emails and messages reaching out asking how to help my family during this time. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and we ask for prayers that we may find peace concerning this tragedy.

My dad was in law enforcement for over 25 years. He began his career at the City of Charleston PD after graduating from The Citadel. From there, he began his journey with the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Miami, Florida. He moved our family from South Florida, to Washington DC, to Las Vegas Nevada where he finally retired with many travels, attributions, awards, accolations, and world renowned friendships. He was not only admired in his career, but he was admired on the field as a football coach for the Weston Warriors in Weston, Florida. He was admired as a neighbor within the South Florida community. He was admired as my father, being there for us every step of the way growing up. And last but not least, he was admired as a best friend, a partner, a soulmate, and the love of my mom‘s life. 

 

As of right now, we are raising money to cover the costs of the memorial services as this passing was completely unexpected and we are not prepared.
