Richard & Woody Cycling 4 Wounded Warrior Project

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Richard Lima and in May of 2023 my dog Woody who’s a certified emotional support dog and I will be pedaling my bicycle with Woody in a doggy trailer which should take us about 6 weeks and 1,855 miles from Seattle to San Diego all for the Wounded Warrior Project and the 22-24 veterans we are losing to suicide everyday.
This will be my third long bicycle tour in one year, my first ride was 4,608 miles from NC to Santa Monica, Ca and my second ride was from Chicago to San Diego. Both of those rides were to raise awareness and money for (NAMI) National Alliance on Mental Illness.
While riding across the country I met so many veterans who told me their stories while in tears about their bouts with mental illness and suicidal thoughts. It was so heartbreaking to hear.
On my second ride, again I met countless veterans who are dealing with some serious mental illness issues and told me stories about their attempts at suicide and thoughts of suicide.
As soon as I finished my second ride in San Diego I knew I had do something about what our veterans are going through with mental illness and suicide.
So that’s when I decided to team up with Wounded Warrior Project and with the help of your kind donation pedal my bicycle from the Wounded Warrior Project office in Seattle to the WWP headquarters in San Diego.
I’m looking for help funding my ride. My wife and I funded my last two rides and this ride I’m looking to raise money to help me fund this very important journey that will benefit hundreds if not thousands of our brave veterans and even our current military.
The money raised here on Go Fund Me will go towards mine and Woody's journey from Seattle to San Diego all to benefit WWP. This money will also cover mine and Woody’s flight, shipping my bike and Woody’s trailer. Also cover all my camping fees, food, hotels when needed, bike repairs, miscellaneous needs while on the road and mine and Woody's travel back home once I finish the ride in San Diego.
I would really appreciate your support, our veterans will not only appreciate it but they will be benefiting from this incredible journey which I will be documenting everyday through my Instagram (richardlima1)
I thank you so much for you support and your donation.
