A dear friend of the Our Place Bistro crowd – RICHARD ROSS -  has received some terrible news. After not feeling well for a couple of weeks, Richard went to the hospital on July 7th, 2016 for some tests to determine the reasons for his pain. Richard received the news that none of us want to hear: he had an inoperable tumor in his pancreas that had developed into Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Richard did not want to stay in the hospital; however, the Doctors were not going to allow him to return to his current home. Our Place Bistro owners, Tammy Clements and Sally Tarver made the decision to open their hearts and their home to Richard, which will serve as his transitional home. Hospice care is helping with his care and pain management.    

This “Go Fund Me Account” is being created to assist Tammy and Sally with the medical expenses not being covered by Medicare & Medicaid. Richard has already incurred costs for a seven (7)-day stay in the hospital, CT scans, initial cancer treatment, as well as the prescription drugs, pain meds and any follow-up treatments.

Our “Go Fund Me” goal is to raise $15,000 for the 1-3 remaining months of Richard’s life. Any remaining money will be used to pay for the final costs of Richard’s transition to the hereafter.
