I'm Richard Church, the Bible teacher on the Verse By Verse Podcast (Verse By Verse on iTunes ). I served for seven years as the pastor of the Friendship Congregational Bible Church in Friendship, Wisconsin and currently serve as the chairman of the church's board of elders. I have also been the webmaster for the Berean Bible Society website for about 18 years. I have had the opportunity to preach the word of God "rightly divided" in many parts of the United States.

A few months ago I was excited to receive an invitation from Grace Beyond Borders Ministries (GBBM) to preach at an upcoming Bible conference in the Philippines. The conference will take place April 19-22, 2016, in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Philippines. The conference theme will be "Steadfastness in the Distinctiveness of Pauline Doctrine."
Dr. Mario Indino is the President of GBBM, a grace organization operating in the fields of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Thailand. Mario visited Friendship Congregational Bible Church while I was the pastor and I also had the opportunity to minister with him at Grace Bible Camp in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. I thank the Lord for Dr. Indino's spirit, energy, and vision for ministry in southeast Asia and I consider it a privilege to work more closely with Grace Beyond Borders.
I asked Dr. Indino if there might be additional ministry opportunities if I were able to come for a longer period of time. We are still working out the final itinerary, but it looks like I will be in the Philippines for about 3 weeks and will have opportunities to minister at Fundamental Grace Bible Institute in Ozamiz City, preach at several Filipino grace churches and speak at Bible conferences in Tagum City and Manila.
This is my first visit to Asia and I am looking forward to sharing the truths of God's word in this region of the world! Please pray for me, as well as for my wife, Brooke, who will remain at home caring for our five children (ages 1 month to 9 years) while I am away. If you are able to help with expenses for the trip, it would be greatly appreciated! I will be purchasing my airline tickets soon and even small donations will help a lot.
I will soon set up a website to chronicle my trip and share this experience with those of you who are praying and giving to help with the costs, so watch here for updates.
