Rich Cuts is a barbershop franchise based in Atlanta, Kansas City, and New Orleans with a strong focus on community empowerment and creating generational wealth for the clients we serve. The “Rich” in Rich cuts stands for “Residual Incomes Create Happiness” – one of the core principles we teach in our entrepreneurship classes.
Our Goal: Thousands of Young Men Reading One Book A Month

Young men in our communities we serve often lack mentorship programs that can show them the keys to success. To help combat this, we want to place in their hands books that will encourage them to open their minds to new possibilities, set goals, and achieve their dreams while providing role models who will support, uplift, and encourage them along the way.

Offering free haircuts and access to a reading program is a great first step on the path to helping them learn how to be productive, contributing members of the community. Bringing young men into Rich Cuts gives the youth a chance to learn about good grooming habits while connecting them with mentors who can help them open their eyes to new possibilities for their future.
How the Program Works
When a child comes to us for a free haircut, we give them a free copy of our Dreams & Goals book that will help them become successful. We ask them to sign a Rich Cuts promise to not only read the book, but to write a report stating what their goals and dreams are, what they learned from the book, and how they will apply what they learned to achieving their goals and dreams. We will then publish their goals & dreams in our series of follow up books so that the world can see and they are held accountable for achieving those dreams.
This report also allows us to begin the mentoring process where we break down those big goals and dreams into smaller goals that can be achieved one day at a time.
Why We Need Your Help
Books aren’t free and barbers have families to feed. With your donation, we can afford to pay for the books in bulk – thereby reducing the costs per book – and pay the barbers in different cities for their time and efforts. Additional donations go to providing t-shirts and hats that identify the children as belonging to the Rich Cuts program, which helps to spread the word in the communities about the program and encourage other young men to join.
