Rev. Timothy Wayne Johnson
This fund will be used to help provide living expenses for Pastor Tim Johnson while he recovers from full hip replacement surgery on June 30th. The doctors expect that Tim’s recovery time will be approximately two months during which time he will be unable to work. Tim’s wife Lois also is struggling faithfully with terminal non-alcohol related liver disease and is unable to work. Tim is self-employed and the sole provider for his family.
Tim is a Veteran having served 4 years in the US Air Force, a former Clayton Police Officer and currently a licensed barber at JB's Barber Shop here in Clayton, NC. Tim also pastors Twin Oaks Cowboy Church in Clayton. Many of you who grew up around Clayton may know Tim as “Coach”. Since 1986 Tim has volunteered his time coaching in area youth athletic leagues with Clayton Parks and Recreation, Clayton Civitan and most recently coaching in the Upwards Basketball Sports Program. Over the past 30 years, he has coached our youth in basketball, football, softball and, baseball. In 1997 Tim coached his Mighty Mite football team to win the first ever super bowl championship with a season record of 10-0.
Tim is a native of Clayton and graduated from Clayton H.S. He raised his children in Clayton and his 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild are a blessing to the community. He lives and breathes the heart of Clayton and is the first to reach out to help others. He is the proud recipient of the Community Service Award given by the Clayton Civitan Club. Tim has been a lifelong “giver” so it is humbling for him to accept the fact now he needs help of his own, and others are trying to help him. I am honored to work with him and hope to do so for many years to come.
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated and any funds remaining after the living expenses are paid will be donated to Serve the Need in Johnston County, Grill Ministries, and Twin Oaks Cowboy Church to help with their community efforts.
This fund is administered faithfully by Sean O'Brien and Chad MorganThank you and God bless you and yours.
Sincerely,
Sean O’Brien
