This summer I will be conducting research in a psychology lab  at the University of California Davis. This opportunity will not only allow me to pursue one of my passions, which is working with young children, but also help me determine whether or not research is something I can see myself investing in long term. I am extremely honored and thrilled to be given this opportunity seeing that I have put my goals and aspirations at a hault after having my children.  Moreover, I see this experience as a steeping stone to be used to launch my career. While I would love to wholeheartedly enjoy this experience, there are a few barriers that could potentially limit my experience. The most obvious barrier being finances: cost of living being more expensive, conducting research with very limited compensation and supporting a family. These are all circumstances that would prevent me from pursuing this opportunity, yet I am hopefully that a way can still be made. All contributions will assist with housing, food, transportation and childcare expenses. Thank you in advance.
