I would greatly appreciate if you would please take just a minute of your time to read this.
Today I took Rengar to the vet for vaccines. 2 x-rays and $500 later my veterinarian discovered there was foreign matter in his gastrointestinal tract that needed to be removed immediately. I was advised to take him to the ER for an emergency operation.
It is my hope that his surgeon will be able to remove any/all foreign matter through the incision in his stomach. However, if they are to find that the matter has made its way down further into his intestines than expected, the necessary procedure would be to open or possibly even remove intestinal tissue. If this is the case, his procedure will cost upwards of $4,500. If his surgery goes as planned he will need to be monitored post-operation for 2-3 additional days before he is able to come home.
I don't have the finances to fund this surgery in any way, but without it he would die and I could never put him down. He just had his first birthday.
I pride myself in being a fairly independent person, and it's out of my nature to ask for help, but I would do anything for my animal and just this once I need all the support I can get. If you are willing to give just $5 it would get me one step closer to my goal.
Thank you for taking a minute from your day to read this.
Here are some pictures of Rengar when I got him a year ago and Rengar now. :)
