Doug Ingraham died on 9/30/2016 in a head-on collision - he was 32 years old. He was believed to have died instantly in the fatal crash. Doug was a wonderful, Jesus-loving, man that had just married the love of his life, Erika (Tucker) Ingraham 76 days prior. They met 18 months ago on eHarmony, and even after their first date we all knew they were destined to be together. Erika and Doug described meeting each other like they had known each other their whole lives - and her entire family believes that, too. He was an instant member of the family, even before they married, and we couldn't imagine a life for Erika without Doug in it. He was the perfect man for Erika, just as she was the perfect woman for him.

Doug was working on his dream of becoming a published author and had recently attended PAX West with his wife and friends for a fun-filled weekend surrounded by things he loved and enjoyed. He loved gaming, date nights with his wife, and family - including his nieces and nephews. He was a part of the Portland Singing Christmas Tree, loved his employment at Yahoo, and had plans to buy a house and have children with his wife. Doug recently moved to Keizer from Beaverton after getting married on July 16, 2016. Erika is a special education teacher at three different small rural schools in Oregon. She is a follower of Christ, a gentle and caring soul, and a wonderful person all around. Prior to meeting Doug, she graduated with her bachelors degree in Music Business from Trevecca Nazarene University where she received a full-ride scholarship due to her dedication to high marks in high school - but soon after realized her calling for teaching. She also earned her Girl Scout Gold award, and she was a Rotary Youth Exchange student for one year in Argentina. Erika truly believes in serving others and her relationships across her life show that. Erika and Doug had so many plans until that tragic fall morning when the crash occurred on his way to work. They were just staring their lives together, and had finally found true happiness.

This fund is set up to help with the costs of the memorial and funeral services, and the next few months while his wife Erika grieves the loss of her husband. The goal was originally set at only $5,000 before her sister, Paige, knew what type of support would be needed, and the true expenses of losing a loved one so suddenly. The goal has been raised to $10,000 and will stay there even though the cost of funeral services, time off work to grieve such a loss, and the loss of an income will be much more than that.

Monetary donations can be made here, and meals can be collected by her sister, Paige Hook, and her mother, Marcy Crenshaw. An address can be provided to send cards or flowers by emailing [email redacted]. Funeral details will be posted as they are known. Thank you, and God Bless you all.
