I began experiencing homelessness while a a full-time undergraduate student and then later as a sitting elected official. After leaving office to avoid further violence and assault I became homeless. To survive I migrated across several sanctuary cities in hopes of securing work and permanent housing. I have not slept in my automobile or a shelter in over a year but presently I do not have a secure lease or a guaranteed housing. This account is about bringing awareness and building a safety net. 

I’m currently seeing friendly gifts and resources to secure extending hotel vouchers and to replace my inoperable work van from with a fuel efficient, safe, and low maintenance primary vehicle.
