Support for Recovery After Second Stroke

I’ve been standing on faith since my transfer to Brooks Rehabilitation and my release home to continue rehab with home health care. I’m truly grateful for the love, support, and prayers from everyone who has walked with me through this.

On 1/25/26, I had my second stroke and was taken to UF Shands, terrified after losing movement on my left side and struggling to speak. By God’s grace—and with my praying wife by my side—those symptoms improved faster than we expected. After 10 days at UF Shands, I transferred to Brooks Rehabilitation, where I worked hard through recovery. I was discharged after 29 days and am now continuing rehab at home while managing ongoing physical and cognitive challenges.

Since coming home, a difficult reality is that our current home is a townhome, and I can’t safely access the second floor due to mobility limitations. We need to relocate to a more accessible rental in Gainesville, Florida so I can live safely and stay focused on healing.

While I’m out of work, the combination of medical bills, everyday expenses, and moving costs has created a heavy burden. Any support you can give will help us secure a safer, accessible home. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and continuing to pray for my healing and strength. From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
