Help recover financial loss after dads passing

*update* My father recently has passed away on Sunday May 5th, 2024

Hello, my name is Brandon Blease.

I take a lot of pride in trying to face each challenge head-on and fighting my battles. Unfortunately, I've been trying to overcome a challenge for the last couple of years now and I am at a point now where I can really use some help.

A few years ago, I found out that my father was struggling and that he no longer had a place to live. I took it upon myself to fly down to help him get through this time while we figured things out such as where he was going to live. During this time, I maxed out all of my credit cards for both his and my hotel stays so that he had a roof over his head. Along with lodging expenses I also paid for his food, U-Haul rental, U-Haul car tow rental, and gas from Charleston, SC to Amarillo, TX. As well as his down payment for assisted living once we arrived in Amarillo, TX.

As his son, I felt like it was my duty to take care of my father during those hard times. That being said, my fiancé and I moved shortly after these events occurred. Life changed, jobs changed, and I have never been able to recover financially. I work a full-time job and I always at least make my minimum payments. I have been unable to pay more due to Morgage payments, bone graft surgery payments, food expenses, gas for work, and phone payments.

I recently started college on September 25th to pursue a career in Nursing and I will eventually get my RN license. I have been trying to get a student loan to help with my schooling expenses as well as my living expenses and have been unable to do so due to my credit scores and outstanding balances. I am a full-time student and work two part-time jobs during the week to help with food expenses at the house and to continue making my minimum payments. I am humbly asking for help. I will continue to push forward and do my best always, but I am struggling. It's very hard for me to admit that and to ask for help but if there is anything anyone can do to help I would be forever grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read my GoFundMe

Why is this important to me?
I firmly believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives. It opens doors to countless opportunities and helps shape individuals into responsible, knowledgeable, and empathetic citizens. By clearing my debt, I can devote my energy and attention to my studies, participate in internships, and engage in meaningful experiences that will assist me in achieving my goals.

How will the funds be used?
All funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be used solely for debt repayment purposes before my college enrollment. By eliminating this financial burden, I will be able to start my academic journey with a fresh perspective and a clear focus on my studies. This will ultimately enable me to make the most of my college experience and set a strong foundation for my future career.

Why should you help?
Your contribution, no matter hhhow big or small, will make a significant impact on my life. Your support will not only alleviate the stress of debt, but it will also empower me to chase my dreams and work towards becoming an active member of society. Additionally, by assisting me in clearing my debt, you are investing in the education and potential of a determined and grateful young individual.
