Rebuilding DFW Together

As Realtors, you know there is no purchase more important, more emotional than buying a house.
It’s more than just a collection of wood, drywall and paint – it’s security, safety, and pride. This isn’t just a
house. It’s Home.
   That’s why Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate has partnered with Rebuilding Together, the nation’s
largest nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalizing
neighborhoods. With economic pressures building on low-income families, they often have to choose
between living necessities and making critical home repairs.  Rebuilding Together works to fill this gap in
our communities with projects throughout the year.
    This April is National Rebuilding Day. This event brings hundreds of volunteers to local neighborhoods to
repair and revitalize neighborhood parks, community centers and homes for low-income homeowners –
particularly veterans, elderly and disabled. In the fall is Operation Freedom, two months dedicated to modifying, rehabbing and repairing homes
for veterans.
    Whether it’s installing grab rails or wheelchair ramps, these projects can give back to our veterans the freedom and independence to move around their own homes.
