Rebuilding after marital abuse, fire, and loss

Hello, my name is Amanda, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do—ask for help. But life has thrown me a series of storms, and right now, I’m doing everything I can to keep my head above water. Last year, I barely escaped an abusive marriage with my life. This left me financially depleted, mentally and emotionally unstable, and physically displaced. I returned home to live with my parents, hoping to rebuild my life in a safe environment. Since then, I’ve focused on my mental health and working hard to heal the deep wounds caused by a “love fraud” marriage to a narcissist. 

In February, tragedy struck again—my parents’ home caught fire in the middle of the night. We lost everything, all gone in a matter of moments. Thankfully we all survived, but my parents lost all of their pets. My step dad’s  insurance company is doing the bare minimum and I did not have renters insurance. We are living in campers on the property. My parents are in one; my son and I are in another. I am currently not working because all of my supplies were destroyed in the fire and navigating the aftermath of the fire with my elder parents has been a job in itself. I’m adjusting to life in these difficult times but It has become a constant battle between survival and staying hopeful. I need help to rebuild—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Your donation will go toward basic living necessities, personal care items, repairs to the camper, and helping me get back on my feet. My dream is to one day have a home of my own, and become financially stable enough to give back to others who are suffering as I have and just need a little help to get started.
