Hello, my name is Yahya, I’m 23 years old and a nursing student.

I used to live with my family of 13 in our humble home in Gaza until it was completely destroyed during the war. We lost everything… no home, no safety.

We were forced to flee at gunpoint and have been living in worn out tents ever since, deprived of the most basic necessities: no electricity, no clean water, no shelter to protect us from the cold of winter or the heat of summer.

I dream of finishing my nursing studies to help my people and ease their suffering, but life has become a daily struggle just to survive.
