Bosburcht Festival and Ninjin Agency have been hit in the heart. Last weekend, on Friday the 13th, our beloved offices went up in flames.

The place where we gather, plan, dream, and pour our hearts into everything we do is completely destroyed. All our belongings, memories, and creative tools: gone. We are devastated.

Bosburcht is everything to us. It was born from pure passion and built by a small, dedicated team that does everything themselves. It’s a reflection of our creativity. Bosburcht is a young, starting business, and in today’s market, building a financially healthy company is already a huge challenge. This fire makes that journey even harder, but not impossible. No investors, no big sponsors, just us, and you, our community. This is a massive blow. Emotionally, but also financially. Honestly, we don’t know where to begin. But one thing is certain: we want to keep going.

Ninjin Agency is next door. We are a performance agency who work with many different events and performers, also the creative minds behind many of Bosburcht’s performances. We share our space with It’s A Wrap Agency. A great deal of our handmade costumes, crafted with care, skill, and love over countless hours, was damaged or lost by the fire. We, too, are heartbroken and urgently need support.

The fire was caused by a lithium battery that overheated while charging. There is no one to blame, sometimes, even with care, the smallest risk becomes reality. This time, it happened to us. Fortunately, we were outside when the fire broke out. While the chance of this happening is incredibly small, maybe one in a million, we strongly encourage everyone to charge lithium batteries in a safe and well-considered location.

At this point, none of our belongings are covered by insurance. Our companies and the people working for us are safe, but Bosburcht has lost everything in the office and Ninjin has also lost a great deal of its collection.

As difficult as it is to ask: we need your help. Whether big or small — donations, supplies, workspaces, advice, emotional support, sharing this message, every bit helps to rebuild from the ashes. Your support would mean everything.
